WHAT TO EXPECT
•Sabbath School, 9:45
•Worship, 11:00
Considering a worship visit to Vallejo Drive soon? Great! When you come, you can count on an experience that will grow your faith in God, inspire you for your life journey and equip you to serve your family, co-workers and community.
As you prepare to attend, make sure to familiarize yourself with the web site map of the four parking lots, street parking and bus stops available at or near Vallejo Drive Church.
Once you arrive our hospitality greeters and
information desk hostesses will be happy to answer any questions and help you find your way around campus.
As you walk around church, you will notice people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, races, experiences and ages make this church their home. We are a diverse church, so you will not feel out of place, no matter where you are from or what you look like. While there is no dress code and you can come as you are, you will notice that most people “dress up” a bit in suits and dresses or other business attire. But don’t stay home just because you don’t think you have the right thing to wear. We are much more interested in YOU than your wardrobe!
Your kids will find exciting Sabbath School classes and a unique Children’s Church experience. Your teens will meet lots of other youth their age in vDrive Café. Young adults will see a growing gathering of college students and twenty-something’s gathering at StillWater Café. And adults of all ages will find Bible study groups around campus that invite dialogue and reflection
As you enter the sanctuary for worship, you will immediately recognize that this church places a high priority on honoring God with the best of the classical arts. Our vocal and bell choirs, organists and pianists, and special guest musicians will stir your soul each week as they perform and lead the congregation in singing. You’ll find that Pastor Mike Kim and the other pastors don’t preach at you; they talk with you. They converse about living in the grace and love of God and what that looks like in our daily lives. Nursing mothers (Room 107) and parents with toddlers (Room 113—play room; Room 116—worship training room) will find places where they can watch the worship service and take care of their kids’ needs at the same time.
As you leave the sanctuary you’ll walk into Vallejo Drive’s courtyard that has come alive as people make new acquaintances and reconnect with old friends over refreshments.
There is no limit to how spirituality can be expressed, experienced or shared with others. On Friday nights, Vallejo Drive is developing an environment where people can explore and challenge their faith, express their personal experiences through a variety of musical and artistic genres and connect with others in authentic, accepting relationships. Vallejo Drive is a great place to unwind from the week and tap into the vibrant energy that arises from good food, music and conversation.
Stage Four, open from 6:30-10 pm, provides two unique café environments—one for high school students and one for college students and young adults.
Stage Four parking is in the lot on Holly Drive and parking for adult vespers is in the church office parking lot off Vallejo Drive.
Adult Vespers meets from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall for a home-cooked meal and engaging bible study and discussion.
During the week, you will find members of Vallejo Drive meeting together for prayer and Bible study in area homes or on the church campus. You will bump into others who are donating their time to serve the community with ministries like the SOS Thrift Store. You will notice ministry teams meeting at the church to plan upcoming events and clarify their vision. You can schedule a time to meet with one of the pastors for counseling, prayer, bible study and more. Faith isn’t just something that is practiced on the weekend. Vallejo Drive wants to support your spiritual journey whenever and wherever necessary
